Did You Know? – The NOVA Shift Function
In today’s post, we’re looking at a clever feature built into some of the NOVA remotes used with NOVA receivers – "the Shift Function".
What it is
The shift-button functionality allows you to artificially increase the number of function on a three or four button remote by using a two-button combination. Instead of activating a gate motor function with one button, you press two buttons together.
How to Use It
With your receiver in Learn Mode, simply press and hold the shift button, then press another button to create a new “virtual” button. Use this combination whenever you need to activate that specific function.
The Benefits
More Functions – A three-button transmitter can operate four functions, while a four-button transmitter can handle up to six.
Fewer Accidents – Features like the Holiday Lockout are much harder to trigger by mistake, since activating them requires both hands.
Enhanced Security – CENTURION NOVA transmitters already use secure rolling code technology, making code-grabbing impossible. By adding a shift combination, you boost security even further.
✅ With the Shift Function and the NOVA 4-button transmitter, you get more security, more functions, and more peace of mind – all in one award-winning package.
